She also enjoys providing opportunities for kids to take on a leadership role.
She prides herself on always being open to suggestions from the kids and adults and always allows for room for any parent to organize, contribute, and introduce their own ideas.

Kevin is an expert in the fields of fitness & self protection & a Master Trainer with Truth Fitness & Self Protection Inc. (truth-fitness.com).

As a long time homeschooling family we are very conscious of certain key elements that must be prioritized within the homeschooling community such as socialization, education & physical fitness.

The forming of Bay Area Home Schoolers group is our way of contributing to them.

Early on in our careers both of us made the decision to structure our lifestyles to accommodate our children’s education in every aspect. We enjoy donating our time and contributing to the health & education of kids, especially those of homeschoolers

About Bay Area Home Schoolers

The Bay Area Home schoolers group as the name implies is a group intended as a common meeting point for all bay area homeschooled families.

There are several key aspects that are prioritized within our group, one being regular and structured activities for all age ranges, Educational activities, sports & physical fitness fun & arts & crafts. Each park day will be host to a specific activity whether crafts oriented or sports fun. We will also schedule for outings such as field trips, group bike riding, museum visits + more.

Although we are homeschoolers and have chosen to proceed without the public school system, reading, writing and arithmetic still play an important role in our kid’s lives. It’s how we choose to teach them these critical subjects that make us unique and different. That being said, we will periodically host educational activities for those who would like to participate.

Infrequent game days will be hosted at our home in Alameda where kids of all ages can play pool, ping pong, World of Warcraft, Xbox on a 70in. screen and other fun activities. As noted we have kids of varied ages so you can rest assured there will be something for everyone. We will host lunch as well.

During the rainy season we will continue to meet regularly and will have several indoor alternatives to meet at.

We highly encourage parent participation in all of our activities as I am sure kids would greatly enjoy watching & playing with their parents in a game of tag, hide & seek, flag football or any other fun activity.

A common theme found at many of the various homeschooling groups is to see parents sitting in large groups among one another socializing and chatting while the kids are off roaming around. One of the most enjoyable activities I look forward to each day is playing tag with my kids or hanging out running around at the playground. Unless you are caring for a young child we look forward to your participation at the park days. We have found that park day is an excellent opportunity to have fun with your kids! The more parents that participate the better!

We will host fun activities that accommodate home schooled kids of all ages taking into consideration activities that cater to their age group.
